My GrandMother's dying...,her brain's dead...but 1 don't want believe.
As strong as a tree she goes .. but a piece of my lífe has gone.

Born before the first-world-war .. she was the second one of twelve
(and you'vc got to khow) she hasn't had at all .. : freedom to live,
no time to spare, go everywhere, playing around as I do now.

WORKING HARD TO SAVE ENOUGH MONEY,
TO SURVIVE WITHOUT ENJOYING IT, EVEN THOUGH SHE WANTED
TO RIDE.
RIDE A DREAM SHE COULDN'T CHASE, SHE COULDN'T HAVE,
SHE MOVED AWAY, THE WAR AROUND AND THE NEED
TO LOOK FOR A JOB AGAIN

Brought up by her hands...whíle my parents 've got to work
(all day long)..
She took me at school.. hand ín hand..l've never known how important she was for me.

AND AS ALWAYS IN THE END, WHEN IT'S TOO LATE TO UNDERSTAND,
THAT YOU FEEL THE PAIN INSIDE...... AND ONLY NOW,
THAT YOUR DEMENTED DISEASE HAS MADE YOU
MADE YOU UNABLE TO UNDERSTAND,
I'D LIKE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING,
THAT I'VE NEVER....... NEVER SAID BEFORE...
